In its 41st issue, Jordan Business magazine (May 2008) contains 8 pages of an interesting interview with Her Majesty Queen Rania in addition to an article about her.
The subjects of the interview varied to include most of the recent Jordanian cases; Her Majesty’s initiative “Madrasati”, that focuses on the development of the public schools, was the first subject of the interview, then she talked about the Public Private Partnership model (PPP) and the plans to achieve the sustainability of that partnership. Few days ago we have started to see the streets in Amman crowded with the posters of the new campaign to prevent car accidents that is causing the death of a lot of innocent people “Kafa”. Finally, the long waited MacBook Pro arrived safely from the USA with one of our big Akhtaboots. I never used a Mac with OS X, I took a look on it before but not to an extent to know the structure of the operating system. I admit that Star Academy (the 1st season) had an influence on me and on most of the youth in the Arab World, it was a new concept that we weren’t used to see on any Arabic Channel especially with the real T.V. Now, Star Academy is in its 5th season, during the past 4 seasons, every year it became worse than the year before, with people from all over the Arab World as we used to see Jordanians participants.
During those years and in parallel with Star Academy, new technologies came up and most of Star Academy affected people were trying to utilize those technologies (SMS and web social networks mainly) in order to support their fans. Read the full post...
