On the 24th of June in the year 2008, the French President “Nicola Sarkozy” and his wife were saying goodbye to Ehud Olmert and Shimon Peres at Ben Gurion airport. Suddenly an Israeli policeman shot himself while standing guard during the ceremony the airport.

Everyday we see promotions in the newspapers, streets, TVs or any other media for a loan to buy a car, a house or whatever! I have never seen a advertisement that says “take a loan if you want to complete your post graduate studies”. Actually I have never thought of this until I applyed to do my master’s degree online with the University of Liverpool.
After doing my first interview with the university on phone; I figured out that the fees are very high and not affordable for me, around 35,000$! I started to look around to check out the way I can manage to pay for it but apparently my own resources are the only way to do it

Last night I was in Abdoun passing by a super market. A women with two kids passed beside me and she was talking to one of her kids “Habibi Talal, please take care of yourself and your brother, it’s a dangerous street”. Obviously Talal is neither American nor British.
I wanted to stop the woman in order to ask her couple of questions, I wanted to know if her kids understand Arabic or not? And if they do why she’s speaking in English to them? And if they don’t why his name is Talal? I thought that it’s none of my business at all and it’s not the first time that I see such a case. Read the full post...
Last night when I went to my bed to sleep; the falling sensation that I usually feel when I sleep happened again. I’ve never known the reason behind this so I decided to google it to find an explanation for it.
I found out that it’s something called “hypnagogic jerk” or “hypnic”. And according to wikipedia:
“A hypnic or hypnagogic jerk is an involuntary muscle twitch (commonly known as a myoclonic twitch) which occurs during the transition into hypnagogia. It is often described as an electric shock or falling sensation, and can cause movement of the body in bed. Hypnic jerks are experienced by most people, especially when exhausted or sleeping uncomfortably. Read the full post...
Sometimes it happens when you hear someone saying some words that are inside you like he’s talking on behalf of you. Zade Dirani is a twenty-five year old Jordanian composer and pianist passionate about playing his compositions that blend Eastern Arabic scales with Western contemporary influences.
I was attending his concert at the Roman Theater; I will write a full review about it but this post was to talk about something else.
Before starting to play one of his great music; Zade had very inspiring words to say that helped me to come up with what I have inside me… Read the full post...
Ahmad Humeid on 360east.com mentioned yesterday that there is something wrong going with Zain! I commented on his post saying that I was blaming the iPhone but definitely after what happened today it’s not related to the iPhone at all.

- Take one: a man in “Iraq” answered my call. And he said apparently there is something wrong with the lines.
- Take two: a girl that was shouting and apparently she was talking to her friend about last night’s fight with her boy friend.
On the 17th of June 2007 a revolution in the world of online recruiting in the MENA region has been launched. Akhtaboot.com, that announced the arrival of the web 2.0 recruiting to the middle east, is one year old now. I joined the Akhtaboot team after two months of the launching but I had a big role in developing the website to reach its current state, and I’m very proud that I’m one of those who are trying to deliver cutting edge services to the job seekers and the employers.

Happy Birthday Akhtaboot
Keep it up…
In a country that lacks private audio-visual media, is Jordan TV the appropriate way to represent Jordan globally? I allowed myself to write this review about Jordanian official media.
