Last night I was in Abdoun passing by a super market. A women with two kids passed beside me and she was talking to one of her kids “Habibi Talal, please take care of yourself and your brother, it’s a dangerous street”. Obviously Talal is neither American nor British.
I wanted to stop the woman in order to ask her couple of questions, I wanted to know if her kids understand Arabic or not? And if they do why she’s speaking in English to them? And if they don’t why his name is Talal? I thought that it’s none of my business at all and it’s not the first time that I see such a case.
Thinking about it all the way to my next destination, I figured out that we are embarrassed to admit that we are Arabs or to use our native language in most of the times especially in the case of “Um Talal” and her kids. And we always use the English language as “show off” business.
Well, I know that it’s the most common used language, but we should be proud of being Arabs rather than destroying our identity!
Have anyone of you been to France? Most of the French people are not willing to speak in English even if they know the language. If we want to imitate it’s better for us to imitate the French with their loyalty, better than imitating the Americans DUDES!!!

@Kamel, estamerr, i really like your way of thinking
