Mixed emotions about the last 364 days and THANK YOU

Today marks the day 364 of a year which I consider the most challenging since I was born (26 years ago). I never had mixed emotions about anything like how I feel about 2010. Successes, failures, courage, disappointment, love, hate… etc; everything took a part in my journey since January 1st until the moment.

Who knows me well would say that 99.9% of my life lately is about work, entrepreneurship, Nakhweh.com and putting myself on the right track. A lot of highlights, some are negative and some are positive, but what made me reconsider the way I think about everything is how I could get rid of an illness that was stick to me for 2 years.

Positivity by example: my story with illness

After being very daring to tell my parents about this; I decided that it should reach a lot of others. I never ever thought that the secret I was hiding for more than 2 years will turn into a blog post one day, but now I’m writing it to kick off a series of blog posts that will show you how positive thinking has the power to change your life track.

Ideation Box

Ideation Box

It has been ages since I wrote a blog post; it’s not because there is nothing to write about but it’s my claim of being so busy. Any way, June 6th 2010 marked the first anniversary of my startup Ideation Box and I was planning to write something then but it didn’t work for me so now I’m putting everything here in one chaotic post.

“What’s Jordan?” Because of “Sandra’s new adopted son”

In her video accepting the visionary award of YouTube (November 2008), Queen Rania spoofed David Letterman with 10 reasons of why she launched her channel against stereotypes on YouTube, 9 of those reasons are funny ones and one of the 9 is: “Because I was tired of people thinking Jordan was just a basketball player…”.

Three weeks in USA, I always make my way down to the lobby from the 18th floor. In that long journey everyday I meet new people, being in a hotel will tell them that I’m at least from another state if not from another country; that what makes the question: “Where are you from?” something that I used to hear all day long.

This is how youth are engaged!

As  co-founder of Nakhweh.com I arrived to the United States on the 9th of April to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program by the Department of the State under the title of “Volunteerism: United We Serve” with 104 people from more than 80 different countries. It’s my first visit to the USA; in general I like the country and the way it’s organized, also the people are very kind and friendly (I didn’t expect it though) but for sure it’s not the right place for me to live in.

Things I have learned as a “little” business owner!

It has been seven months now since I co-founded my first venture Ideation Box on June 2009, before going through the launch of Nakhweh.com, passing by the Ideation Labs and finally the process of establishing a new Multimedia and Animation House, Sketchat Creations! Well, that sounds too much for a 25 years guy with only 2 years of experience, but it doesn’t sound too much for me at all as I always act before I plan (which doesn’t sound good for a lot of people).

They are sharing their bra colors on Facebook… repulsive!

The Jordanian and Arab girls reached a very shameless limit in ignoring all traditions and islamic values by sharing their bra colors on Facebook in front of all their friends (including men)! I was wondering all the time why those colors are posted on the girls’ status on Facebook until I found something on Google that explained it.

Example 1

Example 1

Example 2

Example 2

Putting the values and the traditions aside, the madness of those girls made them believe that this is a breast cancer awareness campaign as it’s promoted globally. I can’t see anything in such a campaign more than the abnormal stupidness and the ultimate violation of our community and honour (as usual)!
