This story is two months old, I’m too late to mention it now, but the blog is online since few days only.
It was the last day of Ramdan when everything was almost ready at one of Amman’s fast food restaurants to host the 50 orphans who were coming to have their “Iftar” as my guests. They arrived late because of the driver who thought that it was planned at another branch of that restaurant. They got out of the bus, their teacher told me that there is more than 50; I said absolutely I have no problem.
They entered the restaurant and started to eat directly. I was very happy at that moment when I saw the children eating and enjoying their meals with a smile on their faces. After a while they finished eating, received some gifts from the people who attended the event, wrapped everything and started to leave.
As it was the last day of Ramadan; I had to go to do some shopping after the event to buy my new eid clothes (some traditions that I haven’t used to skip). Well, it’s not only me; most of the affected Jordanians and Arabs who don’t go to anywhere but “Al-Wakalat Street” were there to buy what they like of those brands. Those brands that we pay from 60% to 70% extra on the original price just for them to be on the label of the piece we want to wear. I’m not very happy to say that I’m one of those people but it’s a fact that I can’t ignore and that I wish that it will be changed very soon.
I entered my favorite stores, bought what I liked and paid for what I bought. My car was parked somewhere very far away. I walked for 15 minutes to reach it. Finally, I entered the car and started to drive towards home. As usual started to think about many things; but this time it was really different. I started to think of something that made me feel very guilty. Oh my GOD; quick calculations in my head and the results are here: the smile of 75 children who were my guests cost as much as my new jeans, shirt and shoes that I have just bought.
Yes people, for GOD sake; think twice before paying any fils. There is a lot of people who sleep and see the meat only in their dreams. That story is an example. I think that I have to stop right here other wise I will never stop!

Hello Kamel,
i read your article or lets say story and i like what you wrote down there!! its not about clothes also!! its about everything man the food we eat the clothes we wear and the cars wer drivin everything… i would say people stay the same buy clothes eat fancy food go out but!!! at the same time you should leave something for the poor and charity!! i mean if every young man or girl saved 1 jd a month for those poor little kids!! Jordan would be a better place!! as much as you love yourself!! you should dadicate something for your counrty and the people that are living on the same planet!! and let us not forget GOD the mercy-full who is guna pay you back lets say double and more than double!! i talked to much but i think we never pay attention for those things or people dont see what we see!! so we always need to think and think big!! go for it kamel keep it up!!
