A friend of mine sent me a link to a video and told me that it might have something that interest me… I have never thought that it would be the thing that I have watched or heard.

It was a link to Queen Rania’s recorded speech on YouTube; it was her speech at Google Zeitgeist 2008 Europe in UK. I started to watch the 28:21 minutes video. Mainly she was talking about the role of the internet at these days and the idea behind her channel on YouTube.

Queen Rania started to talk about some video responses that she got from the people around the world. She mentioned the Dutch chess expert who was encouraging people to watch Her Majesty’s video through his YouTube channel, the South African guy who said that all of the stereotypes he had on Arabs and Muslims had been shuttered, the American girl who talked about the diversity of the Arab world pointing out that not all Arabs are Muslim and not all Muslims are Arab, then at the 11th minute of the video she started to talk about the “YOUNG JORDANIAN who launched a new blog for young Arabs to connect to one another, because he believes that the changing of our image abroad has to begin by working together at home”.

Do you know who is that young Jordanian? I figured out that it was ME! And she was talking about loudsighs.com – everyone’s blog. That was so easy for me to know as I’m one of the few Jordanian guys who responded to Her Majesty’s video and the only one who responded to it in a different way with Loud Sighs.

At that moment I couldn’t express my feelings, it’s really amazing when Her Majesty mentions me as one of the Arabs who are trying to make a difference, in her speech in front of the internet leaders in the world (including one of our big Akhtaboots – Mohamad).

Thanks a lot Your Majesty for this honor…
