Staring in the series: the Syrian actor Abbas Al-Nori (who played the role of Jenin’s hero Abu Jandal) and the Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak. The cost of the production for the series was very high and it took more days to shoot. In spite of that, the series has been only played on one satellite channel as most of the Arabic staellite channels was worried to play the series because of its political view.
But “Al-Ejteyah” or “The Invasion” was honored by the Emmy Award, also known as the Emmy, which is a television production award, similar in nature to the Peabody Awards but more focused on entertainment, and is considered the television equivalent to the Oscars.
